2021 Mystery Sock Knit Along

October 2021 myself and customers of String Theory Yarn Company joined together for our 3rd annual mystery sock knit along. This year I worked with Naima of Sister Ananse Yarns for the gorgeous colorways seen above, Wraith and Eye of Newt. Naima is a fellow spooky lover and just general media junky. I was so happy for the chance to work with her and our connection inspired the design of these socks, The Ananse Socks. Zig zags up the foot emulate the dance a spider does as it creates it’s web and catches it’s prey. On the foot we worked a staggered spider pattern so they essentially are working their way up your leg, how spooky!

The KAL was a success and I am as always so thankful for a receptive community and to Janet for hosting the KAL and trusting in my design abilities. The Knitting Community really does bring us together and create lasting friendships. If you did not join the KAL this year keep an eye out for next year as it is definitely an annual event I plan to continue.
